3 Ways to Get More Traffic This Weekend

I would like to share with you three quick ways to get more eyeballs on your blog this weekend.

[1] Share your expertise

Run a quick Q&A session on Twitter and help someone who has a question.
You can do this by finding tweeted questions related to your market.
You’ll be surprised how much people would appreciate a helping hand.
So go ahead, jump on Twitter and search for typical questions such as :
- How do I…
- How can I… in wordpress

[2] Email your list

  • Give them a quick update of you’ve been up to
  • Find out how they are doing?

Also, Keep them informed of any latest news on your blog.

[3] Do a quick video post.

This doesn’t have to be anything fancy.
Just a quick hello along with quick tips.
Videos are very powerful, and bring you closer to your audience.

What are your 3 tips for this weekend?

  • You might forgot commenting is also the great way to generate traffic and more sustainable way
  • These are some great ideas John.
  • I had intended to do a video walk through of HyperOffice but it seems my trial period has timed out so that's screwed Plan A for a videocast. I must look at the search function in Tweetdeck and start putting myself out a bit. At the moment I am going through workbooks for a management course at work which is dull as hell, but my addition to your tips is to do some clean ups on the PC and blog - check your malware database is up to date, use CCLeaner to de-coke the system, defrag the hard drive etc
  • Great tips, John
I have been asking some questions of my subscribers via the mailing list and plan to roll out a poll or 2 very soon.
    Nice post!
  • That reminds me actually - I need to get onto your list.
  • Be more than happy to have you. ;-)
  • I've started doing a Saturday discussion post each week, which really generates traffic and comments, and doesn't mean much writing.
  • That's brilliant stuff Mike.
It just goes to show that weekends can be productive.
